Andrew Kindom – PhD student took the 1st place at the HRSC Emerging Researcher Awards 2023

On Thursday 26th October, Te Papa Hauora hosted the Health Research Society of Canterbury’s 2023 Emerging Researcher Awards Evening.

Andrew Kindom was awarded with the 1st prize, presenting: A geospatial analysis of Abdominal Aortic Aneurysms (AAA)  ruptures to guide screening in NZ.

Andrew is currently a PhD student at the University of Canterbury – Faculty of Health and he is hosted by the GRI – GeoHealth Laboratory.

Nationally Consistent Flood Hazard and Risk Information for Aotearoa

This talk will report on results from a 5-year MBIE-funded Endeavour Programme, Mā te Haumaru o te Wai on the development of a semi-automated workflow to consistently model flood hazard and risk over all of Aotearoa for current and future climates, and show results from this work that are being made available on our flood hazard and risk  viewing platform to help ensure there is consistent information available.
